Position Overview

This role REQUIRES a Florida Security D license along with a Florida Security G license

The primary responsibility is to uphold a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff through vigilant monitoring and patrolling of the premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the safety of premises and individuals by conducting regular patrols; monitoring surveillance systems; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; and managing entry permissions.
  • Identify and assess potential security threats and take appropriate action.
  • Respond to emergencies to provide necessary support to staff and visitors.
  • Address unauthorized individuals by questioning, redirecting, or contacting law enforcement as required.
  • Guarantee the safety and well-being of all patients, staff, visitors, and the facility.
  • Escalate critical situations to law enforcement when necessary.
  • Assist staff with safe transit to and from parking areas upon request.
  • Utilize alarm systems to summon assistance when needed.
  • Report any suspicious activities, criminal actions, or security violations.
  • Prevent losses and damages by documenting irregularities and informing violators of policies and procedures; restraining trespassers when necessary.
  • Manage traffic flow by directing vehicles as needed (e.g., for emergency services).
  • Complete incident reports and necessary documentation for all security-related events by recording observations, gathering information, and interviewing witnesses.
  • Maintain the organization's integrity and reputation by adhering to legal standards.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service.
  • Assist staff and visitors with any concerns they may have.
  • Comply with all organizational service and operational standards.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Safeguard the organization's assets against theft, assault, fire, and other safety concerns.
  • Follow established procedures for various initiatives, including fire safety, regular patrols, traffic management, and incident investigations.
Qualifications
  1. Must possess a valid Florida Security D license and a Florida Security G license.
  2. Prior experience in a security-related role is essential.
  3. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
  4. Familiarity with fundamental security practices is necessary.
  5. Exceptional surveillance capabilities and attention to detail are critical.
  6. Demonstrated judgment, reliability, emotional stability, and integrity are essential.
  7. Ability to remain composed and respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
