G R Birdwell Construction is seeking a skilled Construction Surveyor to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for providing accurate and precise survey calculations, analysis, and as-builts.
Responsibilities- Conduct survey calculations, analysis, and as-builts to ensure accuracy and precision.
- Verify the accuracy of field survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Collaborate with project management to identify and resolve job-related problems.
- Set up, clean, and maintain surveying equipment and supplies.
- Order supplies as needed and store equipment to prevent damage or theft.
- Ensure the area where control is being installed is clean and acceptable.
- Participate in the layout of work by holding the end of the tape, level rod, prism pole, plumb bob, or other similar tools.
- Drive stakes, hubs, and grade nails.
- Align and plumb all types of forms.
- Assist in the setting of anchor bolts and imbeds.
- Verify layout to ensure no misalignments or inaccuracies by coming off of a different control point/line.
- Assist in checking accuracy of surveying equipment through pegging, double-centering, or other methods.
- Perform work with persistence for perfection.
- Demonstrated experience with construction surveying.
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team and coordinate work activities.
- Strong math skills, including the practical use of algebra and trigonometry.
- Ability to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions.
- Ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds.
- Pass a hair follicle drug screen and background check.
