About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our Ultra-High Net Worth Fund Executives team at RSM US LLP. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert tax advice to our Financial Fund Executive clients, ensuring their individual and business tax needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise clients on tax opportunities, including succession planning, wealth transfer planning, and tax compliance
  • Manage and oversee engagement teams focused on entity, individual, fiduciary, and gift/estate taxation
  • Collaborate with RSM specialists on estate and gift planning, state and local taxation, and international taxation
  • Provide leadership, training, and career mentorship to staff and supervisor-level team members
  • Drive growth opportunities with existing clients and prospects
  • Develop and sustain strong relationships with clients and other professional advisors
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or business-related field
  • CPA license in one's principal place of business/home state, licensed J.D. or enrolled agent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting with an emphasis on taxation
  • Proficient in individual and entity taxation with an understanding of complex investments and tax implications
  • Familiar with fiduciary, gift, and estate, state and local, and international taxation and reporting
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team
Preferred Qualifications
  • LL.M. in Taxation and/or Master's in Taxation
  • Experience with private client or business taxation with a desire to grow skills in the private client arena
  • Experience working with investment funds or alternative asset management firms
  • Experience with fiduciary, gift, and estate taxation
