Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor is a key role at Buckingham Senior Living, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our community's facilities. This position requires a strong mechanical background, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively with staff, residents, and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the maintenance and repair of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment in apartments and communal areas.
  • Directly supervise employees in the Building Operations department, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Assist in the development of the capital budget and annual maintenance budgets, ensuring timely completion of projects and maintenance tasks.
  • Monitor and maintain the community in a safe and acceptable condition, inspecting facilities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure vendor transactions and outside services are properly completed and supervised in accordance with contracts.

Requirements:

  • Five years or more of experience in Plant Operations or a similar role.
  • 10+ years of supervisory experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Valid EPA 608 Universal Certification.
  • Knowledge of building systems (drywall, painting, carpentry, etc.).
  • Computer experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A valid driver's license required.
  • Superior communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with an emphasis on customer service.
