Your Responsibilities:

The Ecommerce Specialist will oversee and enhance the online sales operations of the company. This role entails managing daily ecommerce activities, collaborating with Marketing and Merchandising teams to boost online sales through effective digital marketing tactics, and improving the overall user experience on our website. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of ecommerce platforms, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), and data analytics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Website Oversight:
    • Ensure the ecommerce website is regularly updated and optimized for user engagement and conversions.
    • Work with web developers to troubleshoot technical challenges and implement enhancements.
    • Manage product listings, ensuring accuracy in descriptions, images, pricing, and stock levels.
    • Create compelling product content to drive sales and improve search visibility.
    • Collaborate with Marketing and Merchandising teams on SEO initiatives to enhance organic search performance and increase site traffic.
    • Partner on SEM campaigns, focusing on keyword research, strategy, and performance analysis.
  • Marketplace Management:
    • Optimize our presence on various online marketplaces, including Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and GunBroker.
    • Develop tailored strategies for each marketplace to drive sales and meet business goals.
    • Stay informed about marketplace trends, policies, and algorithm updates to maintain competitiveness.
    • Create and manage product listings that are engaging, accurate, and optimized for search engines.
    • Regularly refresh product information, images, pricing, and inventory across all platforms.
    • Coordinate with supply chain and warehouse teams to ensure optimal inventory levels and timely fulfillment.
    • Monitor stock levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts, utilizing automated tools as needed.
    • Analyze and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales figures, conversion rates, and customer feedback.
    • Leverage analytics tools to derive insights and drive continuous marketplace performance improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with marketplace policies and best practices.
    • Address any issues related to policy compliance, account health, and performance metrics.
    • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to align marketplace strategies with broader business objectives.
  • User Experience Enhancement:
    • Work closely with the UX Specialist to refine the online shopping experience and stimulate sales growth. Merge data-driven ecommerce strategies with user-centered design principles to create engaging and effective digital platforms.
    • Collaborate with the UX Specialist to align ecommerce goals with user experience targets.
    • Contribute to the design process by providing ecommerce insights for wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
    • Ensure design elements adhere to ecommerce best practices, including SEO optimization, mobile responsiveness, and accessibility standards.
  • Data Analysis:
    • Evaluate website and sales data to identify trends, assess performance, and make informed decisions.
    • Provide regular insights and reports to management.
    • Collaborate with Marketing Associates to analyze user data, including behavioral trends, sales metrics, and customer feedback.
    • Conduct user research, such as surveys and usability tests, to identify pain points and areas for enhancement.
  • Customer Support Collaboration:
    • Work with customer service teams to resolve online order issues and improve customer satisfaction.
    • Gather customer feedback to inform website enhancements.
    • Facilitate communication among marketing, design, development, and customer service teams to ensure a cohesive approach to ecommerce and user experience initiatives.
Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
    • 2-3 years of experience in marketing or a related discipline.
    • Proven track record as an ecommerce Specialist or in a comparable role.
    • Proficiency in ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
    • Strong knowledge of SEO and SEM principles.
    • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
    • Familiarity with UX/UI principles and A/B testing methodologies.
    • Proficiency in digital marketing tools (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
    • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS is advantageous.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
