Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development and Instruction
    • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.

  • Student Assessment and Evaluation

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in education, Math, Science, Social Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Must meet the Content Knowledge standards required for a provisional teaching license; valid teaching certification in elementary education preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an elementary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development and elementary education best practices.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Be eligible for a provisional state teaching license in the state of Virginia.
  • Be local to the area.
  • Two years of experience leading instruction.
