The University of Tennessee Health Science Center seeks a highly qualified candidate for a full-time Assistant Professor position in the Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases. This non-tenure track role offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical expertise with teaching responsibilities.

Job Overview

This is a 90% patient care position with 10% dedicated to teaching and research. As an Assistant Professor, you will work closely with medical students, residents, and fellows to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and supervise medical students, residents, and fellows in a dynamic and supportive environment.
  • Provide high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to research initiatives and academic programs within the Division of Infectious Diseases.
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, applicants must possess:

  • An MD degree from an accredited institution.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Tennessee.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine.
