About the Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Apprentice to join our team at Interstates. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and testing of industrial automation software.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in writing, maintaining, and debugging code for industrial automation software.
  • Program PLCs and HMIs to control and monitor industrial processes.
  • Participate in software testing, validation, and quality assurance, including writing and executing test cases.
  • Collaborate with the development team and cross-functional teams to meet project requirements.
  • Continuously learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • No experience required.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with PLC and HMI programming is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and environments.
  • Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#).
  • Understanding of software development principles and methodologies.
