We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) professional to join our team at SAVI EHS. The successful candidate will work closely with our Construction Manager to ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on a large commercial construction site in Florida.
Key Responsibilities- Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance: Assist with ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations on the construction site.
- Daily EHS Inspections: Conduct documented daily EHS inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure a safe working environment.
- Site-Specific EHS Orientation: Deliver site-specific EHS orientation to workers to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities in maintaining a safe working environment.
- Construction Work Plans: Review Construction Work Plans (CWPs) and assist with plan development when needed to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Worker Training and Development: Ensure workers are trained and equipped to perform their tasks safely and efficiently.
- Pre-Task Plans: Attend and participate in daily Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) to ensure workers are aware of potential hazards and take necessary precautions.
- Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents to determine root cause and develop corrective and preventative actions to prevent future incidents.
- ISO 14001/45001 Systems Management: Assist with the implementation and maintenance of ISO 14001/45001 systems management to ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety regulations.
- Trade Contractor EHS Partnerships: Partner with trade contractor EHS professionals to ensure compliance with EHS regulations on the construction site.
- Client Risk Management: Act as liaison with the client's risk management team to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Positive Reinforcement Program: Assist in managing a positive reinforcement program to encourage safe working practices.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in EHS specializing in construction.
- OSHA Certification: OSHA 30 hour certification.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and other computer software relevant to the role.
- Education: BS/MS in a related field such as environmental science, health and safety, or a related field.
- OSHA Certification: OSHA 500/510 certification.
- Professional Certifications: ASP/GSP/CSP/CHST/STSC certifications.
