Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist

CAMC Memorial Hospital is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist to join our team in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality care to patients recovering from open heart surgery.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to patients in the PCU, including those requiring cardiac monitoring and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist with chest tube insertion, management, and removal, as well as central line experience.
- Participate in orientation and training programs to ensure a smooth transition to the unit.
- 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a PCU or similar setting.
- Valid WV RN license in hand to submit.
- 36 hours guaranteed per week.
- Ability to work 3x12 or 4x12 night shifts, including every other weekend and float assignments.
The PCU at CAMC Memorial Hospital is a 29-bed unit providing progressive care for post-operative open heart and other cardiothoracic patients. The unit accepts Med/Surg overflow and has a 4:1 patient ratio. The team is committed to providing exceptional care and support to patients and families.

Please note that a valid driver's license and Social Security card are required for this position. Additionally, a Covid vaccine is required, with medical or religious exemptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
