Surgical Physician Assistant- Cardiovascular Specialist

As a Surgical Physician Assistant- Cardiovascular Specialist, you will practice medicine under the supervision of a physician, working in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care. You will be responsible for the direct care of patients in the department, demonstrating surgical skills proficiently as required, and providing highly skilled care appropriate to the age of the patient.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in a health/science-related field, national certification or eligibility for certification, and current licensure as a physician assistant in the appropriate state. You will also be responsible for patient and family education, professional development, and participating in education of orientees, ancillary staff, and students.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a health/science-related field
  • National certification or eligibility for certification
  • Current licensure as a physician assistant in the appropriate state
  • Current certification in CPR

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the direct care of patients in the department
  • Demonstrates surgical skills proficiently as required
  • Provides highly skilled care appropriate to the age of the patient
  • Responsible for patient and family education
  • Participates in education of orientees, ancillary staff, and students
