The Infrastructure Systems Engineer plays a crucial role in the daily management and upkeep of both on-premise and cloud-based server and infrastructure systems.

The ideal candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the administration of the organization's servers and digital infrastructure, including the management of network operating systems, servers, Cisco UCS, SANs, VMWare, V-Sphere, Windows, file and print services, domain controllers, automation, Office 365, Azure, Active Directory, monitoring and reporting, data center capacity management, disaster recovery, backups, and recovery.
  • Possess extensive experience with Azure.
  • Respond to events, incidents, and outages as necessary, under the guidance of the IT Director and in collaboration with the technology leadership team.
  • Assist in the formulation, execution, and maintenance of policies, procedures, and related training programs.
  • Conduct regular backup operations and implement suitable processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of common services such as DNS, SMTP, DHCP, and HTTP.
  • Manage support tickets related to server issues, cloud providers, and virtual environments.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Mimecast or similar tools for spam filtering, encryption, and data loss prevention.
  • Engage in Windows Administration, including Active Directory, scripting, DNS, and Group Policies.
  • Plan for Group Policy Object (GPO) policy upgrades to enhance business operations security.
  • Adhere to best practices for securing currently utilized applications and platforms, including multi-factor authentication (MFA).
  • Participate in both internal and external audits.

Required Qualifications:

  • A four-year degree or higher in Information Systems or a related field, or an equivalent combination of work experience.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced understanding of infrastructure, including Azure, cloud services, Active Directory, Windows desktop/server operating systems, VMware, and storage systems.
  • Familiarity with various identity and access management systems is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of protocols such as WMI, SNMP, TLS, SSL, and SMB.
  • Expertise in securing systems and platforms through device and policy hardening.
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly, both in writing and verbally, to end users.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, O365, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, HITECH, PCI, ISO 27001, ISO 27002, and URAC, as well as familiarity with CMS, NIST, and other healthcare industry-related regulations is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Veeam Backup tools, Netwrix, HPE Storage, Zscaler, Virtual Desktops, and SharePoint is a plus.
  • Willingness to work nights and weekends during planned or unplanned outages and other special circumstances, with 24/7 accountability.
  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation.
