About Our Opportunity
In this key role at the Chinese Hospital, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients of all ages, from infants to geriatrics. Your primary focus will be on delivering evidence-based treatment and diagnostic procedures to manage cardiopulmonary diseases and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care by implementing specific instructions and guidelines provided by our team.
  • Perform thorough cardiopulmonary assessments through physical exams, chart reviews, and vital sign monitoring using limited equipment.
  • Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and set up necessary equipment according to policy and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of all respiratory care delivered, ensuring seamless documentation in medical records.
  • Operate various cardiac and EEG equipment for diagnostic testing, adhering to established protocols.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, empowering them to manage their respiratory care needs effectively.
  • Ensure excellent communication with patients, visitors, and colleagues, addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
  • Assist with discharge planning and clerical duties as needed.
  • Prioritize tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work independently to meet demands.

Requirements:
  • California RCP license and National Board of Respiratory Care certification are mandatory.
  • AHA BCLS certification is required.
  • Previous experience in respiratory care is preferred, but not essential.
  • Proficiency in operating office equipment and patient care equipment such as stethoscopes, oxygen devices, and mechanical ventilators is crucial.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role.
  • Familiarity with hospital beds, wheelchairs, gurneys, crash carts, defibrillators, and echocardiography machines is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Requires standing, walking, and moving for approximately 50% of the day.
  • Proper body mechanics must be used when handling equipment.

Estimated Salary: This position offers a competitive hourly rate ranging from $43.11 to $64.62 per hour, with the salary of the selected finalist determined based on internal equity, experience, education, specialty, and training.
