Reports To: Events and Food and Beverage Director, Food and Beverage Managers
Job Overview:
The Seasonal Food and Beverage Pub Bartender is responsible for providing outstanding service to all patrons at the Irish Pub. This role emphasizes exceptional hospitality and guest satisfaction. The typical working hours are from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM, with flexibility based on customer demand.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- A minimum of 2 years of bartending experience in the hospitality industry
- Proficient in craft cocktails, beer, wine, and spirits
- Experience with keg and soda systems
- Familiarity with cash handling and Point of Sale systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to bend, squat, lift, and carry items as needed
- Strong math, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Completion of a Responsible Beverage Training Course is required
- Excellent communication skills with a positive demeanor
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the bar area is properly set up and ready for service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all outdoor areas
- Review daily events for accurate charging information
- Engage with guests to enhance their bar experience
- Stay informed about current menu offerings and beverage selections
- Prepare drinks accurately while adhering to portion control standards
- Respond to guest complaints with a positive attitude
- Handle all transactions accurately
- Maintain respectful and professional communication
- Complete all side-work duties thoroughly
- Communicate the history and offerings of Erin Hills
- Adhere to safety regulations and responsible service practices
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age requirements
- Refuse service to guests who appear intoxicated and notify management
- Follow all nutrition and sanitation regulations
- Comply with the guidelines set forth in the Erin Hills Employee Handbook
