Job Title: Residential Rearload Driver Kenner

Waste Pro of Louisiana is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Rearload Driver to join our team in Kenner. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for safely operating a front-end, side, rear-end, or roll-off loading refuse truck to collect and transport waste to designated local landfills/disposal areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate refuse collection vehicles on pre-assigned and special routes to pick up garbage, performing pre-trip and post-trip truck checks and cleaning as needed.
  • Empty containers using levers inside the truck cab, and transport waste to designated local landfills/disposal areas.
  • Complete route/productivity sheets, records mileage, fuel consumption, log book, and other forms as required.
  • Communicate professionally with customers and report any customer issues/complaints to internal contacts.
  • Maintain a clean truck and wash the exterior weekly, inspecting and cleaning the truck as needed.
Requirements:
  • Must have a Class A or B CDL valid for the state of Louisiana, with a safe driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
  • Understand refuse collection policies, procedures, guidelines, and practices, as well as Department of Transportation and State requirements for operators of commercial motor vehicles.
  • Must be able to speak and read English well enough to communicate with customers, co-workers, dispatch, and supervisors.
Work Environment:

Works in a variety of environment conditions, including wide temperature and weather variations, including heat, cold, snow, rain, wind; noise and vibrations, fumes, odors, and dust.
