Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Valve Supervisor to join our team at Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC. As a Valve Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activity of workers to ensure that work is done safely, correctly, and timely.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Interpret and coordinate activities of assigned workers, equipment, and tools to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  2. Inspect quality of all work to ensure company standards and project specifications are met.
  3. Assist workers in their performance of assigned duties and provide guidance and support as needed.
  4. Analyze and resolve work-related problems and implement solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  5. Review material received at the jobsite to ensure it is correct and not defective.
  6. Check equipment to ensure proper working conditions and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  7. Maintain accurate records of time and production and track progress against project schedules.
  8. Enforce company policies and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  9. May study schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for completion of job and make cost estimates for contracts.
  10. Establish and adjust work sequences to meet consumption schedules using knowledge of equipment and personnel capacities.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree related to respective craft or equivalent industry certifications preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience in the industry with a proven track record of supervisory experience.
  3. Working knowledge of technical manuals and ability to author reports using Microsoft Office suite.
  4. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a technical environment.
  5. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to other sites during outage seasons as required.
