Trauma Therapist/VOCA Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Trauma Therapist/VOCA Specialist to provide trauma-specific mental health services to community members with psychiatric diagnoses. This is a grant-funded position through the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans.
- Provide clinical documentation and grant reports in a timely manner.
- Offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as needed, in coordination with the supervisor.
- Provide therapy for victims of crime in the CVASSP (VOCA) program.
- Update the program tracking tool weekly and maintain communication with the CVASSP team and advocates.
- Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school.
- Possession of or eligibility for licensure to practice in New York State (LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC).
- Knowledge of at least one evidence-based practice for treating adults and one for children.
- Effective time management skills to meet or exceed monthly productivity requirements.
- Ability to conduct interviews and analyze psycho-social information.
- Strong observational skills and excellent writing and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
