Trauma Therapist/VOCA Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Trauma Therapist/VOCA Specialist to provide trauma-specific mental health services to community members with psychiatric diagnoses. This is a grant-funded position through the Victims of Crime Act (VOCA).

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and develop collaborative treatment plans.
• Provide clinical documentation and grant reports in a timely manner.
• Offer individual, family, and group therapy sessions, as needed, in coordination with the supervisor.
• Provide therapy for victims of crime in the CVASSP (VOCA) program.
• Update the program tracking tool weekly and maintain communication with the CVASSP team and advocates.

• Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school.
• Possession of or eligibility for licensure to practice in New York State (LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC).
• Knowledge of at least one evidence-based practice for treating adults and one for children.
• Effective time management skills to meet or exceed monthly productivity requirements.
• Ability to conduct interviews and analyze psycho-social information.
• Strong observational skills and excellent writing and organizational skills.
• Effective communication skills in English, both orally and in writing.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
