Physician - Gastroenterology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician - Gastroenterology Specialist to join our team at Jennie Stuart Medical Center. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care, focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, and patient education.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, medical staff, and administrative staff.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Follow established standards of care, federal, state, and regulatory guidelines.
- Use health promotion principles and techniques to educate patients and families.
- Evaluate patient problems, provide advice, intervention, or referral as needed.
- Document all encounters thoroughly in the patient's medical record.
- Make responsible decisions within the scope of practice.
- Participate in quality improvement processes, policy reviews, and continuing medical education.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the department.
- 3-5 years of related experience, including residency in a directly related medical specialty.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of legal and ethical standards for medical care.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Interpersonal skills, including dependability, self-confidence, compassion, professionalism, and adaptability.
- Ability to advise and train clinical professionals, staff, and students.
- Ability to maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Board certification in Gastroenterology.
- Experience working in a hospital or healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of relevant drugs and non-pharmaceutical patient care aids.
