Emergency Department Nurse Specialist

To provide exceptional patient care, Jennie Stuart Medical Center seeks a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in nursing principles and a passion for delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosing and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and optimize clinical practices.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current Kentucky license or valid compact state license.
- BLS certification – American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
- A minimum of one year work experience in an acute care setting preferred.
