Position Title: Project Manager – Mechanical Group

Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Project Manager to oversee our Mechanical Group operations. This role involves comprehensive planning, organization, coordination, and management of contract functions for projects valued up to $3 Million.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the successful execution of all contract aspects between EMCOR Government Services and the client.
  • Prepare and maintain monthly financial forecasts, ensuring adherence to contractual obligations and financial targets.
  • Lead a team of technical professionals, fostering a strong and disciplined workforce.
  • Oversee contract operations, including turnover meetings, scope management, scheduling, customer relations, job cost management, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Evaluate project efficiency, managing operational expenses in line with industry standards and contractual requirements.
  • Provide administrative and technical guidance to staff, ensuring effective completion of work assignments.
  • Delegate major project tasks to supervisory personnel and establish building and maintenance priorities.
  • Collaborate with senior management on staffing decisions, including hiring and promotions.
  • Advise client staff on construction-related matters and address any issues that arise.
  • Manage procurement of equipment and subcontractor services, ensuring timely acquisition of necessary materials.
  • Maintain communication with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors involved in projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation and management of project records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Implement safety protocols in coordination with the Safety Director, ensuring compliance with training and safety practices.

Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of proven experience in Mechanical Project Management.
  • Proficient in proposal writing, scheduling, and contractor coordination, with a strong understanding of construction operations.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize, and manage all aspects of construction projects.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients.
  • Familiarity with management systems and the ability to work with diverse professional teams.
  • General knowledge of major mechanical systems and their applications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with COINS OA is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
