Application Specialist

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an experienced Application Engineer to support our Commercial Motors business in Duluth, GA. As a liaison between customers, sales teams, and operating departments, you will play a crucial role in developing new business opportunities and providing technical support.
Key Responsibilities:
Communicate effectively with field sales, customers, and factories to ensure seamless collaboration.
Develop industry expertise through research, conference participation, and site visits.
Review and respond to customer requests for quotations, specifications, and other inquiries.
Lead and manage quotations and opportunities, requesting feedback from sales or customers as needed, and developing proposals for doing business together.
Identify project and customer details vital for determining quotation strategy.
Compile accurate quotations for customers, adhering to minimum pricing guidelines and identifying opportunities for alternate pricing.
Receive and review purchase orders, generating order entry material and organizing documentation electronically and in hard copy.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a four-year college or university, or equivalent experience.
Understanding of basic motor principles, medium to complex level specifications, and industry standards such as NEMA MG1 and IEEE 841.
Proficiency in MS Office Applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Moderate understanding of the sales process for Commercial Motor products, industry requirements and applications, OEMs, marketing trends, legislation, and competition.
Ability to read, speak, understand, and compose clear technical dialog in English.
Organizational skills and attention to detail to effectively handle and manage multiple tasks.
