Hardscape and Landscape Installation Specialist

Job Summary

Hardscape and Landscape Installation Specialists are responsible for installing hardscapes and landscapes for residential and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate power equipment to excavate and prepare areas for hardscape and landscape installation
  • Utilize hand tools for digging, trenching, and spreading
  • Gather equipment, tools, and materials
  • Drive trucks and trailers
  • Work closely with managers to ensure projects are completed within specified timeframes and budgets

Hardscape Installation

  • Set concrete forms to desired pitches and depths
  • Check forms to ensure proper construction
  • Direct the casting of concrete and coordinate laborers
  • Lay out wall patterns or foundations using straight edges, rules, or staked lines
  • Shape, trim, and cut stone
  • Set vertical and horizontal alignments of structures
  • Mix mortar and spread it on concrete, stone, or foundations
  • Set flagstone, stone, and manufactured stone in place according to layouts or patterns
  • Install brick pavers and retaining wall blocks

Landscape Installation

  • Install shrubs, trees, plants, and other landscape features according to designs or plans
  • Dig holes to proper depths for plant material installation
  • Install landscape lighting
  • Install drainage solutions, including pipes, connectors, and catch basins

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a hardscape installer
