Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up molds and run production using pre-existing processes, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
  • Train process technician trainees as needed, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development within the team.
  • Troubleshoot molding processes and make basic adjustments to optimize quality and efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with the repair team to resolve molding machine/tooling malfunctions.
  • Identify and implement ideas to improve the efficiency of the molding department, driving continuous improvement.
  • Solve quality problems and collaborate with the quality department to identify root causes.
  • Practice good housekeeping and adhere to environmental regulations to prevent pollution and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of experience working with molds in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on mold setting and injection mold processing.
  • Experience troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
  • Knowledge of plastic materials and their processing characteristics.
  • Experience with computer-controlled machines and Sumitomo machines/robots is preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This role requires frequent stooping and bending, as well as the ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Regularly required to sit or stand and move about the facility.

None.
