Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Laundry Specialist to join our team at Telecare Corporation. As a key member of our Behavioral Health team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Laundry Services: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, waxing, shampooing, and cleaning floor surfaces, as well as dusting and sanitizing furniture, closets, and other areas.
  • Laundry Services: Collect soiled laundry containers from nursing areas, distribute clean laundry from the linen closet to nursing staff, and wash and sanitize mops, rags, and linen as needed.
  • Contamination and Infection Control: Demonstrate knowledge of and employ the principles of contamination and infection control procedures in all tasks.
  • Team Member Participation: Participate as a team member, provide input via reporting observations and concerns, and ask appropriate questions.
  • Judgment, Decision Making, and Initiative: Demonstrate knowledge and proper use of equipment and supplies.
  • Relationships with Others: Demonstrate a good rapport and cooperative working relationships with all members of the team.
  • Quality Improvement: Continually focus on assigned tasks and seek and implement improvements as necessary.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: One year of related experience in a motel, hotel, or healthcare setting is required. Experience in healthcare is preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of tools and equipment used in housekeeping and laundry tasks, ability to read, write, and speak English, and willingness to work with mentally impaired adults.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform tasks that require frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and deadlines. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.
