Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting & Design:
    • Generate precise architectural drawings, blueprints, and plans based on preliminary designs and sketches.
    • Create floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details utilizing CAD software.
    • Modify and update existing drawings as necessary, integrating feedback from architects and engineers.
  • Collaboration:
    • Engage closely with architects, engineers, and other team members to ensure drawings align with project specifications.
    • Coordinate with project managers to grasp project timelines and guarantee timely completion of drawings.
    • Communicate with contractors and construction teams to clarify design details and address issues during the construction phase.
  • Compliance & Standards:

    • Assist in preparing documents for permits, approvals, and construction.
    • Maintain a well-organized archive of drawings and related documents.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Utilize AutoCAD (or Revit) and other relevant software to produce high-quality architectural drawings.
    • Incorporate material specifications, finishes, and other detailed information into drawings.
    • Stay informed on the latest drafting techniques, tools, and industry trends.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architectural Drafting, Architecture, or a related discipline.
    • Certification in CAD or related software is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in architectural drafting, ideally within the construction or architectural sector.
    • Experience with residential projects is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD (or Revit) and other architectural drafting software.
    • Strong attention to detail and precision in producing technical drawings.
    • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
