About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at Rural Metro. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of our vehicle fleet, ensuring that our vehicles are properly maintained, and that our drivers are trained and equipped to provide exceptional service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Fleet Services Department, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve fleet efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Manage a team of fleet staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that they have the skills and resources needed to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and finance, to ensure that fleet operations are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports to track fleet performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as OSHA and DOT regulations, and maintain accurate records of fleet operations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that fleet staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • 3-4 years of experience in fleet management, transportation, or a related field.
  • Proven track record of success in managing fleet operations, including vehicle maintenance, repairs, and inventory management.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
