COMPENSATION: $22.50-$26.30/hourly

POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a proactive leader who is detail-oriented, compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive to take on the role of Supervisory Teacher at our Northside Child Development Center.

This position involves overseeing classroom activities, including the planning and execution of developmentally appropriate programs for designated groups. The role also includes supervising classroom staff, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and maintaining adherence to organizational policies and procedures. Building and nurturing positive relationships among staff, children, parents, volunteers, and the community is essential.

A valid Minnesota driver's license is required for this position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure compliance with licensing, accreditation, and early childhood education standards at all times.
  2. Provide continuous supervision of children.
  3. Oversee staff and volunteers, offering orientation and ongoing support.
  4. Coordinate daily programming, ensuring all developmental areas are addressed.
  5. Maintain daily communication with parents.
  6. Manage and supervise programming, lesson plans, assessments, and documentation.
  7. Review and ensure the accuracy and relevance of data and reporting for accountability and client outcomes.
  8. Support and address the individual needs of children, meeting them where they are.
  9. Collaborate respectfully with all staff, supervisors, management, and volunteers.
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must fulfill Minnesota Department of Human Services licensing qualifications as outlined in Rule 3 for a Teacher.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience is required; supervisory experience is preferred.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Development, Education, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in center-based child care is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and current proof of insurance are required.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals experiencing homelessness, unstable housing, mental health challenges, or low-income situations.
