Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN, Pediatrics Clinic

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a vital member of the Altru Health team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an LPN, you will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist registered nurses and other licensed practitioners in identifying patient needs, priorities of care, and goals based on patient age, ethnic origin, economic status, lifestyle, creed, or philosophical beliefs.
• Contribute to the evaluation of the plan of care by gathering, observing, recording, and communicating patient responses to nursing interventions.
• Modify the plan of care in collaboration with licensed practitioners.
• Demonstrate competency and ability to carry out department-specific functions in accordance with the department's standards of care, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Certifications and Requirements:
• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the North Dakota Board of Nursing or Compact State Agreement.
• License Practical Nurse (LPN) certification from the Minnesota Board of Nursing within 12 months of start date.
• Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 90 days of start date.
Working Conditions:
This role requires occasional driving and frequent standing, walking, stooping, bending, reaching, and handling/finger/feel activities. The ideal candidate will be able to lift up to medium pounds and work in a fast-paced indoor environment with occasional exposure to extreme temperatures.
