Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team at AdventHealth. As a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, you will be responsible for performing a variety of ultrasound procedures on patients of all ages, from neonates to geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including general sonography and vascular sonography, in accordance with department protocols.
  • Assist physicians with interventional procedures and select practical applications and technical factors.
  • Be knowledgeable in and carry out all applicable processes of the department, including exam supervision and administration, diagnostic image quality and documentation, personal productivity and accountability, data processing, safety and the environment of care, and clinical competence.
  • Participate in the AdventHealth performance improvement program and adhere to the AdventHealth Corporate Compliance Plan and all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state, and federal agencies and accrediting bodies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Ultrasound Program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • ARDMS/ARRT and/or CCI credentials, including Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (AB) and Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS (OB/GYN).
