Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team on the night shift. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.
The Respiratory Therapist coordinates and delivers respiratory care services to patients, including diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures. As a vital member of the patient care team, the Respiratory Therapist performs various duties such as conducting patient assessments, administering respiratory therapies, and monitoring patients receiving mechanical ventilation.
Responsibilities:- Perform patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy.
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient response and notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response.
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- STABLE certification within 60 months of employment start date.
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Instructor certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Instructor certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitation Program (NRP) Instructor certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Instructor certification within 1 year of employment start date.
- Bachelor's Degree or Associate Degree in a related field.
