Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Unit Secretary to join our nursing team at Sutter Health. As a Unit Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our nursing staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our medical unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to nursing staff, including prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of medical records, reports, and other documents.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
  • Assist with orienting new staff members to the department and unit.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in a medical or administrative setting.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a part-time position with variable shifts, including evenings and rotating weekends. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
