Job Summary

Geisinger Health System is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist Registered to join our team. As a key member of our Respiratory Services Division, you will be responsible for assessing patients' respiratory care needs and developing personalized treatment plans. With a focus on delivering exceptional patient care, you will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' respiratory care needs and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Perform routine therapeutic modalities, including aerosolized medications and oxygen therapy
  • Initiate and manage conventional and high-frequency mechanical ventilators
  • Provide patient and family education on disease management and respiratory care
  • Participate in intra-hospital transport of mechanically ventilated patients
  • Assist with discharge planning and ensure patients receive necessary respiratory-related DME supplies
Requirements
  • Graduate from a Specialty Training Program
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
  • Licensed Respiratory Therapist
