Job Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Vehicle Operator, you will be responsible for the safe transportation of materials from client locations to designated processing or disposal sites. Key tasks include:
- Maintaining a daily truck log and reporting mileage using ELD, while adhering to all DOT, state, local, and internal regulations.
- Acting as a brand ambassador in all interactions with clients and the public.
- Conducting daily inspections and performing preventative maintenance on the vehicle and equipment.
- Safely operating the truck and equipment during loading, unloading, and delivery of materials.
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the truck and equipment before leaving the site.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in backing up trucks and operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to memorize routes and follow directions accurately.
- Commitment to safe vehicle operation at all times.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B; Class A preferred.
- Minimum of 6 months experience in commercial driving or operating heavy/agricultural equipment.
- Clean driving record with no serious violations in the past five years or DWI/DUI in the last ten years.
Working Conditions:
This position requires various physical activities including sitting, climbing, balancing, reaching, standing, and walking. The role involves lifting up to 75 lbs and is subject to outdoor conditions, as well as proximity to moving mechanical parts and vehicles.
