Job Title: Adjunct Instructor 1

Job Summary:

Ferris State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor to teach Communication courses for the Fall and/or Spring semesters. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Communication or a related field and prior experience teaching Communication courses at the high school level or higher.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach one or more sections of Communication courses as needed and as qualified.
  • Participate in traditional functions with academic significance, such as reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Communication or a related field.
  • Prior experience teaching Communication courses at the high school level or higher.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience teaching Communication courses in higher education.
  • Prior experience teaching Communication courses at the high school level or higher in Interpersonal Communication or Small Group Communication.
