Job Title: Adjunct Instructor 3 - HVAC

Ferris State University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Instructor 3 - HVAC to join our faculty team. As a member of our academic community, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses, including lectures and labs, in a face-to-face, blended, or online environment.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time, continuing faculty position that will teach a range of courses in the School of Built Environment. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to student success, office hours, and the use of current technology. The position requires a focus on teaching, advising, and mentoring students, as well as participating in departmental and university service.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a variety of courses, including lectures and labs, in a face-to-face, blended, or online environment.
  • Develop and implement course materials, assessments, and evaluations.
  • Provide academic advising and mentoring to students.
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including committee work and professional development.
  • Maintain a minimum of one hour per week per course section for office hours to meet with students outside of class or lecture at a time convenient to the students.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in HVAC or a related field.
  • Five years of work experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Strong commitment to student success, office hours, and the use of current technology.
  • Ability to teach in a face-to-face, blended, or online environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher in HVAC or a related field.
  • Experience teaching in a higher education setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
