Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Utilities Engineer to join our team at The Bergaila Companies. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of all plant-related utilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain the condition of utility systems, including Fresh Water Make-up and Treatment, Cooling Water, Steam Generators and Distribution, Condensate Collection and Return, Waste Water, Nitrogen, and Fuel Gas.
  • Identify and correct utility inefficiencies, limitations, and make recommendations for expansion as needed.
  • Develop and maintain utility balances, support capital projects, and provide input on troubleshooting and utility savings opportunities.
  • Review and recommend repairs, replacements, or upgrades for utility systems and equipment, including those nearing the end of their life cycle.
  • Collaborate with contracted engineering personnel to design and review utilities and related infrastructure, and prepare cost estimates for projects.
  • Review and negotiate long-term utility contracts.
  • Participate in organizational leadership and contribute to policy development, planning, and future expansion initiatives.
