Job Summary

The Registered Dietitian plays a vital role in providing medical nutrition therapy to patients, ensuring their nutritional needs are met and goals are achieved. This position requires a strong understanding of nutrition principles and the ability to work effectively with patients, healthcare teams, and food service staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nutrition assessments and develop personalized nutrition plans for patients.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure accurate and timely nutrition care.
  • Develop and implement nutrition education programs for patients and staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions and make adjustments as needed.
  • Participate in facility-wide nutrition quality assurance audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field and completion of a dietetic internship approved by the Accreditation Council of Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
  • Registered Dietitian/Registered Dietitian Nutritionist registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and continuing education requirements.
  • Dietitian license and/or certification required to be obtained within 60 days from date of hire, type dependent on which state providing MNT.
  • At least one year of healthcare experience in clinical dietetics preferred.
