Job Title: Environmental Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team at Geosyntec Consultants. As an Environmental Consultant, you will be responsible for providing technical and project management for site investigation and remediation projects, including those utilizing the Texas Risk Reduction Program (TRRP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing engineering designs and permit application documents associated with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) industrial and hazardous waste management regulations.
  • Managing and overseeing preparation of technical reports such as Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs); Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs); Spill, Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans; and Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
  • Prepare and manage environmental investigation work plans and provide technical support on a variety of environmental projects for oil & gas, petrochemical, waste, and agrichemical clients.
  • Manage and perform surface and subsurface investigations including drilling, geologic/geotechnical logging, and environmental media sampling (groundwater, surface water, soil, sediment, air/vapor, and waste).
  • Review and research regulatory topics, along with determining regulatory applicability to processes and problems.
  • Participate in business development activities and begin to establish a consulting practice. Mentor junior staff and interact with senior Geosyntec staff to meet task, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Support client opportunities and proposal preparation, and gain increasing responsibility with project tasks through training provided by Geosyntec and by working with senior staff and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental and/or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • At least five years of directly related experience in environmental engineering or science, preferably in a consulting environment.
  • Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients.
  • Proven leadership skills.
  • Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed.
