Position Summary:

The Cybersecurity Systems Protection Specialist is tasked with safeguarding classified networks at the corporate level. As a cybersecurity expert, the Specialist will ensure that classified information systems comply with cybersecurity standards and governmental directives by conducting audits, identifying, analyzing, and mitigating cyber threats across various enterprise networks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver hands-on technical support for intricate systems and networks, assist in cyber technology development and implementation, assess vulnerabilities, and cater to customer requirements through meetings, calls, and demonstrations.
  • Engage in the planning and execution of current and future security domains, including emerging service areas such as Cloud Computing and DevSecOps.
  • Create comprehensive documentation for information system authorization, security management, and ongoing monitoring of both networked and standalone classified information systems.
  • Conduct system audits, vulnerability assessments, and manage hardware/software configurations while ensuring data integrity and investigating security violations.
  • Proactively identify and resolve security challenges impacting architectures and deployments.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of professional experience in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) contracted defense industry, or a combination of education and experience totaling four years.
  • Must possess a DoD 8570 IAM Level-II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
  • Preferred: DoD 8570 IAM Level III certification (e.g., CISSP, CASP+ CE, CISM).
  • Current DoD personal security clearance (Secret) is required, with the ability to obtain special program access.
  • Experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST standards is essential.
  • Proven ability to execute security hardening on various LINUX and Windows Operating Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing system security plans and related documentation.
  • Familiarity with standard security tools and applications is necessary.
  • Understanding of how various security disciplines interact with information system security.
  • Experience in network design processes, focusing on security and operational objectives.
  • Preferred: Recognized cloud proficiency and cloud integration experience.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance:

  • Candidates must hold a current or active Secret clearance for consideration.
