About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Supervisor to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our Patient Care Division, you will provide administrative direction and decision-making for nursing care during off-shifts, ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction and care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative direction and decision-making for nursing care during off-shifts
  • Interpret and communicate the philosophy, objectives, standards, and goals of the Patient Care Division to staff, patients, and visitors
  • Coordinate admission, transfers, and discharge of patients, ensuring seamless care transitions
  • Schedule and reallocate nursing personnel to provide adequate staffing and meet patient needs
  • Collaborate with hospital administrators to address operational and management problems
  • Participate in orientation and training of new personnel, per diem staff, and private duty nurses
  • Identify individual and collective needs of nursing staff and confer with the Education Department to develop training plans
  • Plan, develop, and conduct patient care conferences to assess needs, plan interventions, and discuss discharge planning
  • Ensure delivery of excellent customer service, resulting in positive and improving patient satisfaction scores
  • Perform administrative supervision of all hospital activities as delegated by hospital administrators
  • Evaluate work performance and assist in the Performance Appraisal process
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a BSN
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience as an RN
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in an administrative position
  • Current New Jersey Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
