Responsibilities:
This announcement is intended to fill vacant roles within the Fayetteville VA Medical Center. We are seeking licensed and qualified Physician Assistants who are interested in serving our veteran population. Resumes will be reviewed and forwarded to hiring managers as openings arise.
The Primary Care Physician Assistant will be a key member of the multidisciplinary Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT), responsible for delivering comprehensive care to a patient panel of approximately 900 individuals. Duties include:
- Conducting thorough history and physical examinations.
- Promoting preventive health measures.
- Managing both acute and chronic health conditions.
- Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests.
- Collaborating with supervising physicians to ensure high-quality patient care.
Key Duties Include:
- Evaluating and treating patients with complex medical issues.
- Documenting patient interactions in accordance with medical center bylaws.
- Providing clinical oversight to the PACT team.
- Ensuring treatment plans are evidence-based and aligned with best practices.
- Completing all required clinical documentation promptly.
Work Environment:
This position requires the ability to perform various physical activities, including standing, walking, and lifting as necessary.
Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Master's degree or a Bachelor's degree with relevant experience as a Physician Assistant, along with successful completion of the PA National Certifying Exam (PANCE) and a valid, unrestricted license to practice.
