We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider II to join our team at the Cumberland County Department of Public Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide medical provider services to patients in our Communicable Diseases/STD Clinic, Women's Health Clinic, and Child Health Clinic.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality medical care to patients, including collecting thorough histories and physical examinations, performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and prescribing medications.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families on health maintenance, preventive medicine, and care of the sick.
  • Participate in public health emergency responses, including outbreak investigations, mass dispensing or immunization clinics, and disaster relief efforts.
Requirements:
  • Licensed as a Physician Assistant by the North Carolina Medical Board or approved to practice as a Nurse Practitioner or Certified Midwife by the North Carolina Board of Nursing and the North Carolina Medical Board.
  • One year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and establish positive working relationships with staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
