Job Title: Shift Monitor

Wellmore Behavioral Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Shift Monitor to join our team at our Morris Recovery House and Therapeutic Shelter Program for Men in Waterbury.

About the Role:

The Shift Monitor is a vital member of our treatment team, responsible for ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients while assisting with and supervising client activities. This role requires a flexible schedule, with shifts available on a per diem, full-time, or part-time basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop positive working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and members of the clinical team.
  • Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and facilitate assigned educational groups and community meetings.
  • Supervise visiting hours, meal and snack times, and self-administration of medication.
  • Conduct routine bed checks, house rounds, and documentation of client counts.
  • Ensure confidentiality and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of college in counseling or a related field.
  • Knowledge of the recovery process and experience in a similar setting is desirable.
  • Ability to climb 4-5 flights of stairs and maintain client confidentiality.
  • Good computer skills and a valid driver's license.
