Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical / Ortho & Neuro unit at Saint Mary's Hospital. As a Nurse Specialist, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with physicians and healthcare staff to monitor neurological statuses, cognitive functions, motor skills, and sensory responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patients' conditions, monitor vitals, administer orders and medications, and document progress.
  • Provide wound care and manage surgical incisions.
  • Educate patients and families about their conditions and self-care.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.

Requirements:

  • Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing.
  • Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting.
  • BLS or CPR Certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Benefits:

  • Full-Time position with 36 hours per week, Night Shift.
  • Rotating weekends and holidays are required for all shifts.
