As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the Information and Assistance (I&A) program, providing critical services to older adults and adults with disabilities in Kitsap County.

Job Summary:

The Senior Information & Assistance Program Technician will be responsible for performing routine and specialized support tasks to provide information, referral, assistance, advocacy, and follow-up to caregivers and clients. This includes conducting screenings and assessments over the phone and in-person, documenting information in online databases, and supporting the I&A team with overflow intake calls, mailings, and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct screenings and assessments to gather information for determining benefit eligibility for various social service programs
  • Support the I&A team with overflow intake calls, mailings, and special projects
  • Provide information and referral services to caregivers and clients
  • Assist with outreach at community events and to other community partners
  • Contribute to and maintain community resource lists and informational brochures
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED and one year of experience or training in administrative program support
  • Ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral or health sciences
  • Two or more years of paid or volunteer experience providing direct human services, preferably in an agency providing services to older adults
