Therapeutic Riding Program Specialist

Position Summary
The Therapeutic Riding Instructor is responsible for delivering exceptional horse riding lessons to individuals with varying abilities, ensuring a safe, supportive, and transformative experience. This role requires a deep commitment to CRISTA Ministries' mission and values, as well as a passion for equine-assisted therapy and education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized lesson plans, taking into account riders' goals, needs, and progress.
- Collaborate with the Miracle Ranch Horsemanship Program Coordinator to ensure seamless scheduling and coordination between programs.
- Maintain and delegate duties for instructional team members, including therapists and volunteers, to ensure the efficient completion of tasks.
- Document riders' activities and progress after each lesson, providing valuable insights for future instruction.
- Create a volunteer-friendly culture, encouraging a growing volunteer base and providing education and support as needed.
Requirements:
- PATH Certified Riding Instructor certification
- Two years of riding and horsemanship experience
- Experience in ministry a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- Three years working in an adaptive riding program
- Associate degree from an accredited college or university
Personal Conduct:
- Reflects well on CRISTA Ministries and supports the organization's personal conduct policy
Reporting:
- Reports to the CRISTA Camps Executive Director
Location:
- CRISTA Camps Miracle Ranch
Work Schedule:
- Part-time opportunity
Compensation:
- Between $17 and $20 per hour, depending on experience
