In today's political climate, it is crucial for individuals to express their opinions at the polls. To facilitate increased voter participation in essential elections, we are collaborating with The Outreach Team to assist in voter registration efforts. Our initiative involves engaging with potential voters to inform them about the significance of their electoral participation. We will connect with individuals in various community settings to support their voter registration process. Our mission is to empower and mobilize new voters to ensure that every voice is acknowledged.

This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop skills in: Leadership, Communication & Advocacy, Community Outreach & Engagement, Campaign Management, Public Policy, and Social Responsibility.

Attractive Compensation Canvasser roles start at $20.00/hour, while leadership roles begin at $22.00/hour. We provide overtime pay, shift bonuses, paid training, sick leave, and referral bonuses.

Key Responsibilities for Canvassers ($20.00/hr):

  • Interact with the public in a courteous and respectful manner
  • Convey a persuasive campaign message and gather comprehensive survey responses from voters
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance outreach capabilities
  • Adhere to the campaign's safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and compliance with health guidelines

Key Responsibilities for Team Leaders ($22.00/hr):

  • All Canvasser responsibilities plus:
  • Oversee a small team of canvassers in the field, providing periodic check-ins and end-of-day debriefs
  • Ensure each team member has the necessary materials for a safe and effective outreach
  • Assist in training canvassers and managing administrative tasks

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Enthusiastic about progressive issues and promoting democratic participation
  • Excellent communication skills; enjoys engaging with diverse individuals
  • Dedicated worker who remains motivated to connect with as many people as possible
  • Open to new experiences and eager to enhance campaign skills
  • Culturally aware and capable of respectfully interacting with colleagues and community members
  • Previous canvassing experience is a plus, but not mandatory.

Compensation Details: $20.00/hr for canvassers and $22.00/hr for Team Leaders. We offer paid training, sick leave, and referral bonuses. All full-time employees have the option to enroll in our healthcare plan.
