Job Title: School Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team at The McHenry County ROE Application Consortium.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide direct nursing services to students and staff, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage time commitments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide first aid, illness, and emergency care to students and staff
  • Administer medication and treatment with proper documentation
  • Maintain accurate medical records and perform mandated screening procedures
  • Make referrals for suspected abuse/neglect and maintain confidentiality
  • Communicate with teachers, parents, and guardians to enhance cooperative action
  • Monitor communicable diseases and maintain student attendance records
Requirements:
  • Currently registered in State of Illinois
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation program completion
  • Illinois Certification as a Vision & Hearing Technician
  • BSN Degree and Active RN License
  • Computer literacy and competency in existing technology
Essential Functions:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate high levels of flexibility, excellent interpersonal communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Strong identity with professional nursing standards and ethics is essential.
