Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner to join our Interventional Radiology team at Banner University Medical Center. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a robust interventional team, performing a variety of procedures and contributing to the delivery of exceptional patient care services.
Key Responsibilities- Procedure Performance: Perform procedures such as paracentesis, thoracentesis, drain/tube exchanges, and line placement under the guidance of a supervising Radiologist.
- Consult Evaluation and Management: Evaluate preliminary reports and prepare technical reports for review and sign-off by the supervising Radiologist.
- Patient Case Management: Participate in patient case management, including prescribing additional imaging procedures and following review with the supervising Radiologist.
- Medication Administration and Order Management: Administer and order medications, with supervising Radiologist co-signature prior to order initiation.
- Urgent and Emergent Situations: Respond to urgent and emergent situations during the performance of essential functions.
- Equipment and Procedure Evaluation: Collect and analyze information regarding equipment, procedures, and work environment for radiation safety, patient safety, risk management, and quality management.
- Tumor Board Case Preparation: Prepare tumor board cases for collaborative team review.
- PA/NP Certification: Current certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner is required.
- Experience: Experience performing radiologic procedures is preferred but not required. On-the-job training will be provided as needed.
- Certifications: Fluoroscopy and Ultrasound Guidance Certification is preferred.
