Job Summary
The Budget Officer will report to the Vice President for Fiscal Affairs and be responsible for managing all aspects of the university's budget. This includes direct communication, coordination, preparation, and implementation of the annual operating budget, including developing revenue and expense estimates. The successful candidate will provide guidance, technical support, and training to all university department budget officers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement budgetary policies and procedures with university-wide application.
- Develop and maintain internal operating policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines.
- Prepare analyses for use by administrators and senior leadership to make academic and budgetary plans for the university.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Vice President and other members of management.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other office equipment.
- Effective oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with budget preparation and management.
